View PDFLam Research Corporation Announces Restructuring Charge FREMONT, Calif., January 18, 1999 - Lam Research Corporation (Nasdaq: LRCX), a leading supplier of wafer fabrication equipment to the worldwide semiconductor industry, today announced that it will incur a charge of .4 million, or .39 per share, for the quarter ending December 31, 1998, as a result of the restructuring disclosed on November 12, 1998. The charge carries no anticipated tax benefit and relates primarily to costs associated with employee severance compensation, facilities consolidation, and the write-off of fixed assets utilized in affected operations.
