Lam Receives Two 300 mm Supplier Awards From Semiconductor300 FREMONT, Calif., May 4, 2000-Lam Research Corporation (Nasdaq: LRCX) today announced winning two SEMICONDUCTOR300 Supplier Awards. The first award honors Lam as the overall top tier supplier; the second award recognizes the readiness of Lam's 300 mm etch system. Achieving these awards demonstrates the advanced capabilities and excellent positioning of Lam's 300 mm system generation.

In the award evaluation process, SEMICONDUCTOR300, the Infineon Technologies/Motorola 300 mm Joint Venture in Dresden, Germany, employed a range of stringent criteria. The primary success criteria for the Top Tier Supplier award included a management profile, technology, logistics, quality, and purchasing aspects. The Tool Readiness award criteria included Cost of Ownership, CIM/automation, and process performance.
