Novellus Systems, Inc. And Lam Research Corporation To Host Joint Analyst/Press Meeting On Copper Interconnects SAN JOSE and FREMONT, Calif., July 2, 2001 - Novellus Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: NVLS) of San Jose, Calif., and Lam Research Corporation (Nasdaq: LRCX) of Fremont, Calif., today announced that the companies will host a joint analyst/press meeting at the SEMICON West trade show. The companies will use this forum to discuss recent successes in copper damascene integration as well as process advances resulting from the companies' collaborative work in the Damascus Alliance. The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Performing Arts, 701 Mission Street, San Francisco, on July 16, 2001, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
