NOVELLUS ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY AND TIMING OF SECOND QUARTER 2002 EARNINGS CONFERENCE CALL WEBCAST
SAN JOSE, Calif., July 1, 2002—Novellus Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: NVLS), the productivity and innovation leader in advanced deposition and surface preparation processes for the global semiconductor industry, today announced that it will release its second quarter earnings on Monday, July 22, 2002, after the market close. Management will discuss second quarter results in a conference call, live from San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center during SEMICON West on July 22, 2002. The call will begin at 1:30 p.m. PDT/4:30 p.m. EDT, and will be available to interested listeners via an audio visual webcast that can be accessed on Novellus’ Investor Relations home page, located at www.novellus.com/. Immediately following the earnings conference call, chairman and chief executive officer, Richard S. Hill and other senior Novellus executives will deliver a corporate presentation, which will also be available via webcast.
