This Pride Month, we’re celebrating something extra special: our role as a founding sponsor of Semiconductor PRIDE (Professionals for Respect, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity).
What it is: Semiconductor PRIDE is a coalition of companies in the semiconductor industry, organized by the SEMI Foundation, that are committed to advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion and diversity.
- This group unites 16 peer companies, including Applied Materials, KLA, Intel, and Micron.
Why it matters: Lam has been a champion of diversity and inclusion, embracing these principles as a Core Value in 2021. By joining Semiconductor PRIDE, we are reinforcing our commitment to our Core Values and taking concrete steps to support our LGBTQ+ community.
What we’re hearing:
- "Our engagement in Semiconductor PRIDE reflects our deep-rooted dedication to an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and respected," says Antoinette Hamilton, global head of Inclusion and Diversity. "We are confident that our collaboration with organizations that share our vision will make a significant stride toward equity and leave a lasting, positive legacy within the LGBTQ+ community and our industry."
Big picture: Since 2020, Lam has received a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equity.
- This membership is another milestone in our commitment to support the LGBTQ+ community at Lam and beyond.
