NOVELLUS ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF THE WEBCAST OF ITS PRESENTATION AT BANC OF AMERICA SECURITIES’ TECHNOLOGY 2002: A FRESH START SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 23, 2002--Novellus Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:NVLS), theproductivity and innovation leader in advanced deposition and surface preparation processes for the global semiconductor industry, today announced that Richard S. Hill, Novellus' chairman and chief executive officer, will present on Jan. 29, 2002, at Banc of America Securities' Technology 2002 Conference. The presentation will begin at 9:30 a.m. PST and breakout session will follow at 11:30 a.m. PST. The presentation and breakout session will be made available over the Internet via a live webcast.
