Sunday, January 22, marks the start of Lunar New Year. Across the world, including much of East Asia, nearly 1.5 billion people will ring in the Year of the Rabbit. According to the Chinese zodiac, each new year is marked with the characteristics of one of twelve zodiac animals. The rabbit is a symbol of agility, flexibility, longevity, peace, prosperity, and vigor.

In 1989, we opened our first office in South Korea. Since then, we have expanded our footprint to 63 offices across Asia. And we have been proud to become a part of our local communities throughout the region. We’ve had the opportunity to work with faculty and students at local universities and support causes that inspire us to give and volunteer.

In the past two years, we celebrated three anniversary milestones of our operations in Asia – Lam Japan, Lam Singapore, and Lam Taiwan turned 30. In the spirit of the Year of the Rabbit, we hope to continue the prosperity of our operations in the region.

Whether you’re eating dumplings, Lo Hei, or tteokguk with family or hanging spring couplets from your home, from all of us at Lam, we wish you a happy Lunar New Year.
