Driving the news: Lam Research was named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies® by Ethisphere–for the second year in a row.  

  • Lam is the only wafer fabrication equipment provider on this year’s global list.

What it is: This annual distinction highlights organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to business integrity through robust ethics, compliance, and governance programs.

  • The World's Most Ethical Companies recognition is assessed by Ethisphere and is based on over 240 criteria, including culture of ethics; environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices; ethics and compliance program; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and initiatives that support a strong value chain.

Why it matters: The portfolio of firms recognized as recipients of this year’s World’s Most Ethical Companies have outpaced a comparable index of large-cap companies by 12.3 percentage points over the past five calendar years.

Zooming in: This year, 136 organizations were recognized in 20 countries. The honorees include Intel and Micron.
